At UVA Community Credit Union, we believe in more than financial services. We believe in lasting impact. That’s why we created the UVA Community Credit Union Foundation: a powerful new way to give back, lift up, and bring hope to the communities we serve.
What We Stand For
We partner with civic leaders and local organizations to invest in meaningful, measurable change. Our work is centered on three key pillars:

Hunger is a local issue. When people struggle putting food on the table, communities suffer. We partner with organizations that work to resolve the challenges faced by individuals and families, ensuring that no one goes hungry.
Shelter is a basic need and a human right. Without adequate, safe, and affordable housing, people struggle to overcome additional development issues. We proudly support organizations that create housing opportunities (rent/build/renovate) and advocate for affordable housing policies and programs.

Our UVA Community Credit Union Foundation is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, which includes UVA Community Credit Union President/CEO, Susan Gruber as President, UVA Community Credit Union Chief Lending Officer, Joe Raichel as Vice President, UVA Community Credit Union Chief Financial Officer, Peter Holman as Treasurer, and UVA Community Credit Union Vice President of Credit Union Affairs, Janine Williams as Secretary.

Your donation helps to make a positive impact on our community. Donations are used to support the Foundation's three impact areas– children’s health, food stability and affordable housing.
About your online donation. Your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law. Our Foundation pays a small transaction fee to process online gifts. You can help us by opting to cover the processing costs to ensure we receive the full intended donation. Donation processing fees are usually tax-deductible. This means donors can include the amount they donated and any fees for processing the donation when filing their tax returns. By opting to cover the processing fee, you can help our Foundation ensure that 100% of your donation goes to support our mission to improve the quality of life for our members, local families, and communities.
